  • The Congress of the European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS) grew 66% in congress attendance since 2003, passed the 5,000 participant mark in 2008, and registered an additional 4% growth in 2009 (Florence, Italy 12-15, 2009) despite the global economic crisis.
  • Since 2004, congress attendance at the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) Annual Meeting has jumped 85% entering the 6,500-7,500 category.
  • WSPID (November 18-22, 2009, Buenos Aires, Argentina) and WIP (March 13-16, 2009, New York, U.S.) world biennial congresses grew by over 35% each, entering the 2,500 plus congress category.
